I put on extra tape also, the strong stuff (20lbs tape), but so strong I couldnt lift it off to adjust it. It was a hair crooked (can't notice until you come up close, look under, near the middle break light. That's what I get for having a "bonding" moment with my nephew.

I park out door and I have noticed it lifting just a small bit on the slightly higher side. Still strong, can't pull it off, but its trapping water in there. Leaks out when I open the hatch. Gonna go nearby to have a professional redo it. $100 was the quote.

D'oh! I lost the screws!

Anyone know what kind of screws came with it? Gotta have it on hand for the guys when they do the install. Thanks in advance!

For lip spoilers, I never use screws, for "wing" type spoilers, you're going to need to use screws.

Don't use the screws, you'll be fine.

looks sharp and im thinking about ordering. CarID offers the same design at a similar price, but based upon whats been written on this board, im not sure if i want to order from them. would you know if they get their spoilers from the same manufacturer or does Wingtech do it all in-house? bolt on or double-sided tape? much appreciated, and sick ride!

Mine should be in tomorrow. Im debating if i want to use screws as well

Mine shipped today hopefully it's a smooth install.

Installed it today looks great gonna let it sit over night before I drive it. I lined out up about fifty times before I drilled the holes. Everything came out fine.

Has anyone tried their version of the NISMO spoiler?

I got one from ebay a few months ago. It was from the seller advanation, just search "nissan 370Z spoiler" and they should be listed. The fit and color were a perfect match. It was $129.99 shipped

Just ordered it! Thanks for the help :tiphat:

Did you guys do the install on your own or did you take it to a shop?

I just did mine myself. I only did the 3M tape, no screws, and it's on there for good. If you go that route just replace or add to the tape that comes preinstalled on it. I was skeptical of just 3M tape holding but after reading that it worked for other people on here, that thing is like a rock.
Looks like Madmike above got a quote of $100 installed if you decide to go that way.

madmike23 02-23-2015 04:25 PM

I got lazy, didn't go to get it drilled. The spoiler is still holding strong with 3M tape. I used the "Super Heavy Duty" or Outdoor, I think they're rated to hold 5 or 10 lbs.
