CF Steering Wheel Brought to you by CF Element
 

So 2+ months ago I had the idea to have my steering wheel wrapped in Carbon Fiber. Since Tony@CFElement & myself have done plenty of business in the past I figured he'd be the man for the job. With the help of Mike Sweeney at A.M Performance, I was able to order the wheel which was to be wrapped. I told Tony I wanted the flat bottom as many exotic cars have the same thing & it looks badass. Steering wheel came out real nice, but adding that into the car with other **** wrapped in carbon.... it's too much for my taste. The steering wheel alone would be great though:tup:

How much would something like that cost but with sequential shift lights in the steering wheel like in the Ferrari 599?

I am liking the interior of the Z with CF, although that's way too much gloss for my taste.

Ya, The last pic was with an iphone 4 camera which is not that great. Pics really dont do this wheel any justice, it looks amazing in person.

I just found my stock wheel out of my 350z, so ill be doing a second one this week

is the groupbuy still going on? The original thread had a group buy of five, since that thread was closed does that mean the groupbuy has also ended?

What can you guys get a replacement wheel for? Courtesy Parts lists them at $665. This is great looking, but almost $1000 for the CF look will break my bank. Ideal if you can sideline your Z while you send Tony your wheel.

I was thinking with all the wrecked Z'z some junk yard some where has got to have a wheels for a good price. Just have to start looking/calling around, and don't forget about the guys that have changed the wheel out already.

That's still not bad actually lol. How hard is it to deal with the airbag for both removal and installation?

Not hard at all as the airbag is self contained in the center of the wheel. It's kind of a "plug & play" steering wheel, lol

just make sure you download the most recent driver from Microsoft for that "plug & play" set up you got :icon17:
