Why would u want to carbon the taillights?

tsolin01 03-16-2011 01:11 PM

I don't think the stock red lenses are going to make it look good. You could get the JDM tails and carbon that. Wonder how that would look.

:iagree: That's what I mean. It's just a thought, I wonder if someone could PS that to give a rough idea if it would be worth it or not...

I think that might be pretty cool. I've heard the tails are really tough to open up though.

I actually thought about that this morning driving to the shop...Getting a set of the clear altezza kind lights....and doing the cheapo chrome looking inside in cf...would be kinda hot i think. and keep the red lenses.
Hmmmm...

Here are some more pics...The lenses i have for these are beat up and i want to talk with the guys at 180 about possibly doing some led work in these....But here is a little assembly.

Simota has opened his tails and pianted some of them. I don't remember if he said it was harder than the head lights are what.

I heard rear are cemented not like headlights which you heat and pop it open but would love to know how to open rear ones

KaienZ34 03-17-2011 12:28 AM

I'll ask sim and let y'all know what he says. :tiphat:

The taillights are melted together, you'd need to cut them apart, and then plastic weld them back together... it's extremely tedious, and VERY easy to fck up on.

Tony, hit me up tomorrow if you want anything done to those housings. We just received a shipment of LED Halo's with clear casing so they look super OEM and fit the projector shrouds so snug, almost as if the factory made them and forgot to put them into the headlights before sealing them up lol.

KaienZ34 03-17-2011 12:56 AM

MMmmmm:yum: OEM look
