just got mine too

Thanks for the pics! A correction and question:
I am fairly certain that the Orange wire is REVERSE in the taillight harness. Green is Brake.

How is the light mounted to the Z? Are we going to be using the old black plastic frame? Double sided tape?

kenchan 11-29-2010 03:09 PM

yah, that housing looks very thin vs the oem fog lamp?

Not sure but I think we gonna reusing the old frame. The kit coming with double side tape.

Apparently the EVO R product development team LOVE'S double sided tape. :icon14: It's the NEW duct tape, fix all cure all mount all.

ProfessorDave 11-29-2010 04:48 PM

You can bet I'll be modifying THAT! Double sided tape is for trim. Screws are for foglights!

TipsZ 11-29-2010 04:49 PM

I have not made it home yet, but my wife told me earlier that a package from Taiwan arrived today. However, has anyone made a definitive choice as to whether we should somehow reuse the OEM housing with this?

ProfessorDave 11-29-2010 04:56 PM

TipZ, although I haven't received mine yet, the pics looks like we are to use double sided tape to stick the light to the valance. I'm sure we can come up with something better re-using the stock backing bracket and some long screws. I feel a Macgyver/Macgruber moment coming on...

I am liking this little product big time, plus I am a light whore lol so love seeing lights everywhere.

ProfessorDave 11-29-2010 06:07 PM

Um, Chris, you're not supposed to admit to being a light whore. You're supposed to act with indifference. Like, "that's a nice light, I guess."

shaun66 11-29-2010 06:18 PM

So if you wired it with instructions provided by EVO-R, it will flash only when braking right?

ProfessorDave 11-29-2010 07:00 PM

If you follow those instructions, it will only flash in reverse.

atl370z 11-29-2010 07:06 PM

I wonder if EVO R does local pick up in Taiwan?

chuckd05 12-01-2010 08:59 PM

What color is the reverse wire ? I want it to flash when in reverse but stay on when I hit the brake...
