If you have the stereo on... Why do you have the stereo on while you're watching TV?

Just found this thread and its pretty ridiculous how terribly misunderstood the OP. I was looking into turning my cars ignition OFF without turning the accessories OFF(radio, power etc). I looked into the owners manual and there's nothing there.

One member that posted back suggested giving the button 2 light consecutive tap while engine is on to shut it OFF but keep the accessories on. +1 rep for you sir.

Thank you. It is a slight trick but you can easily master it. It effects the blue tooth as well.

If you push it once when the engine is off you can get the radio to work and same with pushing it twice..but if you push it twice a lot of other things come on..like the AC..and that will kill the battery. I know because that I learned that .. the easy way,...

I did this and killed the battery but it was in my own driveway and so a neighbor came over and jumped the battery and I was ok.. I say the easy way because prior to this I was at a remote state park doing exactly the same thing but lucky for me was listening only for a brief time and did not kill the battery.. Lesson learned...the easy way..:tup:

^ I don't think the A/C will run unless the engine is cranked to turn the pulley on the compressor.

Well maybe it was just the fan...anyway after about 45 minutes the battery went dead..just something to watch so you dont get stuck in the middle of nowhere with a dead battery...
