OP, you came into this, asking why people didn't like them. i think you got your answer. yea people got a little carried away and had some fun but its all in good spirits. i wouldn't put lambo doors on my car, but to each their own. Honestly, the fact that you paid cash for your Z is great for you. You mentioned you were in the military. I have not served in the military, but i imagine you had to deal with some ribbing and getting made fun of and having your balls busted here and there. you either wind up going all Private Pile on them, or you roll with the punches and take it for what it is, all in good fun.

And also, I'm sick of miltary people thinking they're better than everyone else because they chose to give up X number of years of their life for their country. Now for some tomfoolery, Pres. Obama is staring a new program called "cash for riced clunkers" - basically, he's giving 3k to every person who takes their riced out cars to the scrap yard for utter destruction. Oh, you have to take a 3 day seminar on tasteful modding as well.

I completely agree with you Mr. Jeff Blue... You are right it is all good fun, and I don't mind the ribbing it is the stupidity about talking bad about the military... SO that is what is upsetting... I was asking this because when i come home and i want to ride my z with some others i dont want to hear about the doors....

See i ride motorcycles R-1 and love it and you always find people who love to ride, and i am hoping to find that to... U know it is all about the ride...

you know, its not like anyone is trying to make fun of the military. honestly, you could have said you work for a non-profit that helps raise money for children with cancer and also volunteer as an EMT on weekends and people would make fun of you for it (ok, maybe not THAT but you know what i mean). at this point people are just trying to get under your skin. so no, its not really. about you being in the military.
