Default Taillight Install Question?

Hey Guys,

I am looking into the JDM taillights and looked at the DIY for the removal of these. But my question is, do you really have to take off all those panels just to remove the stock lights and swap with the JDM? From the DIY pics, it looks like you do in order to wire the fog lamp, but if I am just swapping out and back in, cant I just remove the bolts, pull the lights forward, unclip the harness and then plug into the new lights and pop back in? Just want to know what im getting myself into before i order. Any info helps, thanks.

To get to the bolts that hold the tail lights in place you do have to remove a couple of the panels in the trunk. Ive done it a few times and its definitely not something you need to hesitate over, easy.

yah, you do need to remove the trunk liner. it's a pita imho but not too bad. do your rear fog lamp, rear camera, and dynamat while the liner's out.

yes its a MUST to remove some panels....there is (1) screw that holds the light in place behind all the panels and the light will not come out any other way...I left the screw off after i did this incase i did any more changes it would just pop off remove the visible trunk screws

Hey thanks for the info. I realized after i took a look at my trunk that the 3rd screw is behind the panel. Do you guys thing there is anyway to just bend the panel a little and get the screw out, instead of having to actually remove it. Either way, doesnt look like its too big of a deal. Thanks again.
