Well it's not a very complicated device, it's basically just a metal rod but that's why I am wondering if anyone has actually used it. the pictures look fine, but

Well it's not a very complicated device, it's basically just a metal rod but that's why I am wondering if anyone has actually used it. the pictures look fine, but that doesn't mean it is even what the picture actually shows.
I was going to get the TWM shifter, but it's $100 more then the AMS, which is of course like $100 more then this one, so I just want to make sure it's worth spending the extra money... or not?
