Lol. No. That's where all these mods and trends start. Cops are pretty lenient too. You can drive by a cop on the freeway at 80 and he won't even bother you. I'm sure you can rice a car out enough that it will piss the cop off to where he will bother you, but all my cars for the last 10 years have been running 35% tint all around, aftermarket exhaust, lowered and either 6k HID or blue HID look bulbs, running lights and clear side markers/turn lamps and ahve never been bothered for any of my mods. It's just that the laws are strict for emissions and safety stuff.

^ hahha you're just lucky. I have gotten 2 exhaust tickets, and 2 speeding tickets...

exhaust tickets were dismissed through the CHP referral sound testing.

And as for the speeding tickets... I have gotten pulled over twice when i was just cruising with the crowd... =______=

My car isn't loud, flashy, or anything. I never shift high. But then again cops in my area give tickets left and right for j-walking

^^^ Riced!

Haha.

Does anyone know if most the manufactures, Lexus, Mercedes, etc... use 4300k for their HID OEM apps or do they vary in temperature? If anyone knows what the other cars run I'd be curious to know

Does anyone have some pics of their car with 8000k bulbs already installed in it?
Any do you think that the bulbs that they sale in Ebay for $60 are a good buy?
I bought one of those for another car but they were xalogen not HID's.

how fast do these bulbs burn out tho ?

Crash 06-20-2009 04:02 PM

6000 is a slight hint of blue. I have 6Ks in my Z32. It looks white at first, but if you switch back and forth between the stock brights and the HIDs, you see the blue.

They last a long time... And they're cheap to replace the bulbs.

LOU@AMPLIFIED 06-20-2009 04:37 PM

If anyone is interested, we sell the D2S 6k with LIFETIME WARRANTY.

It brakes, we replace it

I've had my D2S 6k's for over a year with no issues.
The stock rating is 4300k on my G37. Thats also highest kelvin watts approved by DOT so i don't think any cars from factory would have something higher

CBRich 06-20-2009 07:25 PM

Lou, looking around your site I can't seem to find the headlights. Link?
