After market leather seats?

Gang,

I've ran a thread search and have been unable to find where I can purchase After market leather seat covers. Can someone point me in the correct direction to find them for a base 370?
:tiphat:

Thanks,

Check out ClassicSoftTrim.com. They do a lot of the aftermarket leather for many dealerships (not sure if they are in your area or not). I got quoted the dealers pricing which was $700 for the two seats along with the door inserts in the Persimmon color. Hope this helps.

Whatever you do, avoid Apache Auto in California. Very dishonest people and horrible customer service... "Crooks".

I have yellow and black katzkin seats in my yellow 350. Looks great, thought it was great quality, but I have noticed some damage on the side bolster from getting in and out (obviously)

Have you heard of WET OKOLE seat covers? They are out of Hawaii, and they make the best seat covers in the world. They currently don't have the pattern for the 370Z, but I'm asking them to go to a Nissan dealer or rent one for a day to get the pattern. Their seat covers are water proof and everything proof for that matter, and they are easy to wash. Anyway, if I can get enough of us to jump on board with this, then I'm sure that they will go out of their way to get the pattern made for us. They come in any color you want, and the price is great starting at $299.

Who else is interested??????

I had my seats redone in blue as I didnt want the persimmons and they paid for them. They came ouy great and its good quality too. I have pics of them somewhere way back in these threads. Katzkins did them.

The shop in Western PA was talking about $995 for me with no door panels. I had planned black leather seats with black perforated leather inserts and red stitching. Is that a more expensive job than the work they bid for you? I assume your bid included installation.

Little off topic but I'd love to get my dash covered in leather. For the seats though I hear the Katskins are pretty great.

Thanks,

We can do it for you. It is really difficult to do a leather kit on your own.
Your better off having it done professionally..imo We are a Katzkin dealer

It you like, when the TTZ gets back from AAM I am putting in a leather kit, you are more than welcome to take a look at it in person to see how it turns out.

One thing to think about with all leather is that you might get the saggy pants syndrome in the seats. Thats when the leather stretches and causes wrinkles in the leather making it look like its not form fitting. Thats whats good about going part leather and part suade like the Katzskin gave me.

I was told that the Katskin are actual seats, not seat covers. Is this true?

Zsteve 02-20-2010 01:05 PM

Not whole seats, they are premium covers that cover the entire seat, I guess you take off the old material and put on new material over seat frame is more like it.

I purchased katskin (as I mentioned above) and it's not a cover, it was a big lump of leather that I had to have an upholsterer put on.
I wouldn't recommend them though, not only have I had quality problems, but as I did more and more reading, it appears many people have issues with their quality.
