me personally, I would tape it off and put some more resin over that spot so that it doesnt start to crack further back.

I’ll be stopping by a body shop to see what can be done, I was thinking a boat repair shop might be a good choice (they must deal a lot with different types of resin) Some of you have suggested I paint it… any thoughts on a good pattern? You can see in the picture that some of the damage is noticeable from the front/side.
