Seibon Wide Body

Seibon is going to debut a new Carbon fiber wide body kit for our 370z. It will debut at the Sema show. Is this something our community is interested in? Also depends on pricing. As we all know seibon isnt cheap.

johnnydrama 08-31-2010 02:24 PM

I'd be interested!

theDreamer 08-31-2010 02:25 PM

Need more info.

Mr&Mrs 08-31-2010 02:25 PM

I just talked with them today. No prices yet, but I have till November to add to my Amuse fund I saved up, should'nt be to much more.

cc370z 08-31-2010 02:30 PM

I’m game. Any teaser pics?

shadoquad 08-31-2010 02:33 PM

Don't think I'll buy one, but I'm dying to see it.

bullitt5897 08-31-2010 02:38 PM

Must see... I had tried to talk them into doing this back when the Z came out and they turned down the offer... Glad to see they decided to go ahead with it. Also, My car will be at SEMA and I will take some of my Professional video equipment and shoot some footage for yall ;)

Seibon isnt cheap?!? I bought a carbon fiber hood for $550, plus I can get a cf replica of the nismo spoiler for only $475. When buying a replacement hood would be thousands of $ and a nismo spoiler, unpainted from nissan is $3000...

All relative. $3k might be cheap by other people's standard although I do agree with you. Aftermarket parts are usually less expensive than their OEM counterparts.

not if you buy used.

ClemsonWill 08-31-2010 04:23 PM

:worthless:

I think there is definitely a market for a good wide body kit for the Z. But without pictures there is no way to really determine if the demand is high enough. When is SEMA?

do you really wanna go?

NYBladeZ 08-31-2010 08:42 PM

I bought Seibon doors and A pillars, sure they aren't cheap but they weren't msrp either. I could see how the front fender could easily be redone for a cf wide body but I'm not really a fan of a panel overlay to get the rears. You will have to cut the rear fenders and basically glue on a new panel on top of it to get that rear wide body effect and you'll need a new custom bumper. To date they haven't made any cf bumpers I only know of one manufacturer from which I got mine. However I can't deny I'm sure it'll look fabulous.

OMGWTFBBQ 08-31-2010 08:50 PM

I hope it looks like the widebody kits from the Amuse s2000 or the M Speed R34. :excited:

christian370z 08-31-2010 10:35 PM

I think that the proportions of the Z are very wide and low slung as it is. Unless you are really looking for some extra space to fit huge wheels and tires, I think the Z is wide as is. It could be some decent eye candy though!

:iagree: I believe the kit is mostly for looks. Our car is already wide as is. Its alot wider and curvier then the 350z imo.

Waiz 08-31-2010 11:59 PM

In for pixxors.

Hopefully it doesn't have a GT-R front bumper. LOL

OMGWTFBBQ 09-01-2010 12:12 AM

If it does have that GT-R styled front bumper...

I'm definitely not interested in purchasing one, but I'd be interested in seeing some pictures. The stock front is wide enough to fit a 275/285 tire, so I'm good to go as far as my plans go.

TongMan 09-01-2010 12:44 AM

I thought that our Z's are pretty wide already. Any wider and we'd be driving a flat box.

Fire 09-01-2010 11:33 AM

In my opinion the roadster looks just right, think much wider would look kind of out of proportion but would have to see pics.

Mr&Mrs 11-01-2010 09:03 PM

Revive for photos this month, I cant wait!

boomboom 11-02-2010 02:35 AM

Choice #1. Cut up your car

Choice #2. Stick pieses of plastic or CF to the side of your car.

Either way doesn't seem like my first choice in mods. I believe mods should be discrete and add to performance. Almost like someone looking at the car would believe it's OEM.

JB-370z 11-02-2010 10:17 AM

Pics Please!!!!!!!!

NewYorkJon34 11-02-2010 10:22 AM

Where is the sema thread? Or has it not been made yet?
