^Are those the G2 intakes?
|
thing looks like mustard color... is that just the camera?
NYJon- yah, G2 intakes it looks like. at least they look kinda cool. :D |
It's Kevlar, that's how it looks. I personally do not like the look, as you said it looks like mustard, lol
|
it looks like sunfaded carbon fiber, yuck
|
The camera throughs it off but I have to agree. I don't like it. I am going to swap out the Kevlar for CF.
|
Good Choice ;)
|
Nice diffuser and front fang cover. Actually that kevlar fiber cloth is very hard to come by. You will see the same cloth used on Bride racing seats.

Bad news for ya!! It has to be trimmed!! I just got the exact same part and the body shop had to trim it. It covers the windshield bottle and that flat out will not work!! I think JDC was smoking something!! :ugh2:
|
In the sample photos of the password parts installed on the red z it shows that its covering the windshield fluid neck...I dont know why everyone thought it wouldn't...I agree it shouldn't but, you guys are acting surprised that it is...
|
mine are in shipping its very sad to hear that after paying soo much it needs triming
|
It does not need trimming, they opted to cover the fluid cap to clean it up.

Yes, but I went the other route. I no longer have a washer fluid bottle and such, much easier.
Also, it is not hard to remove, same as the stock piece, but carbon fiber. |
JDM Password Cooling Plate Installation
Soory to let you know but short of removing the windshield bottle, you must trim the cooling plate. Yes, I will send some pictures.
Also, here's a WARNING, the stock hood will impact the cooling plate on the left near the windshield bottle. You "must" install some foam or rubber on the hood to prevent this from happening. This weekend both myself and another Z addict who drives the Smurf saw identical abrasion marks on the plates. As he has a non-stock hood, he also had marks on both the left and right plates over the battery, etc near the windshield. Again the fix-it is placing foam or rubber under the hood in the contact areas. Sorry for the bad news guys!! :shakes head: |

I ran mine for months before my washer setup was removed and had zero rubbing. I did have some slight rubbing on the left side but after a few weeks it stop, cleaned it up and it looks good. |
Good for you Dreamer! Nonetheless, both the Smurf's Z and mine showed rubbing damage. It is what it is! You were more fortunate than we were! Keep on dreaming Dreamer:tup:
