DressUpBolts.Com Titanium Fastener Replacement Kits

I was just flipping through my new Sept. issue of D-Sport and saw this new product ad for DressUpBolts.Com .

It looks like they make fastener kits made of titanium and stainless. They offer them in different colors for most visible fasteners in car specific kits. The press release says they make stuff like strut tower nuts, fender washers/bolts, valve cover and I'd imagine license plate and stuff like that. I checked the site and it says they just finished kits for the 370Z. There is an engine bay kit but not much info beyond that. I'll send them a quick message and see if they can clarify here. Here is a pic of the 350/G35 kit:

Looks like it available in blue, gold, polished, green, purple and maybe natural. Just thought I'd share.

Blue? Don't let Tony see this!!!

kenchan 08-05-2010 07:49 PM

sparkly...

Do they have matte black?

shabarivas 08-05-2010 07:50 PM

ooh those gold ones are money

shabarivas 08-05-2010 07:52 PM

for 200$ tho? really for a bunch of ******* bolts? I dont care if its made out of platinum - 200 for a set of bolts take quite a dolt to commit to...

G Fo12ce 08-05-2010 08:06 PM

Ya I'm thinking it's geared toward the guy who has quite a bit done to his car and is looking at smaller mods. I don't imagine this is anyones first mod at that price unless they are really into the detail work.

Anyway I linked this to them in an email, let see what comes with it and see if they have any pics.

Too bad I didn't notice any red. Would go really well on the Nismo models since our engine cover and interior accents are red.

I got some red aluminum washers and stainless bolts for my Nismo license frame from a local place called Hillco Fasteners but you have to piece it together yourself.

It is ridiculous! I work in the medical industry where Ti deck screws cost 350 each! Doesn't make it right, but I'm just sayin...

Here is the reply I got:

Fuse Box Driver Side Bolt 2

Total Pieces Included 40

Pricing is $164.99 for Titanium and $79.99 for Stainless. For the quality and uniqueness of our kits we have the lowest prices available in either Stainless or Titanium.

We are also working on developing bolts for the Strut Bar, which will have the same unique head design as our other fasteners. We also do small orders. For example if you only wanted to replace the fender bolts, or any specific area, we can do that for you no problem. Thank you for your interest and the post on your forum. If you have any other questions please feel free to ask!

Also, I do not know the rules on that particular forum, but we can do a GB on there if there is enough interest. I will put the details together on our website and you can post a link given enough people are interested. Pricing would be better for the GB on Titanium.

Dress Up Bolts | Titanium Fasteners for your Engine Bay
I told him people will want to know the price of the kit minus the airbox fasteners since a lot of people have an intake. I inquired about red and I told him to contact AK about being a vendor/Group buys. Just passing it along. If I get pics I'll post it :tiphat:

RCZ 08-06-2010 11:11 AM

I can see it looking cool, but man thats loot for bolts...

phelan 08-06-2010 11:31 AM

I'm not considering it until I see red.

Even then I'm not considering it unless the group buy brings it waaaaay down

Liquid_G 08-06-2010 11:45 AM

I'd be down for a Group Buy.. I like pretty engine bay stuff.. :)
My wife just ordered some of their strut bar bolts for her RX8 in Purple. they look pretty cool.

Thanks! Unfortunately, Titanium is unable to be anodized red. If you have red accents under the hood our Polished Titanium or Stainless Steel (Brushed finish) go very nicely. We can do the kit w/o the Intake fasteners no problem. The price w/o those fasteners would be $154.99/Titanium, and $74.99/Stainless Steel.
Phelan if you want to do red aluminum washers like those fender washers shown PM me. I know a local place.

I think that would round out my engine bay really freakin nicely. Ill PM Mike about it. I wonder if I could have him order the stainless steel set, powdercoat them, then ship them out to me...

Caravanshaka 08-06-2010 01:04 PM

can't hurt to ask

They are pretty small, should be easy to to do.

I don't think powder coating will work. It will be to thick and then you will not be able to get an allen key to fit so you can tighten the up. Anodizing is the best option. Good luck with it though

:iagree:

I was doing some research about anodizing stainless steel and it looks like it is really hard. most the time aluminum is the best option but some bolts in the engine bay may need to be replaced with the sane steel rather than aluminum.

I am interested in this topic now. :p

DressUpBolts 08-09-2010 10:57 AM

Hey guys! Thanks for your interest in our products.

Just to clear up a few things.

The colors we offer in Titanium are the following:

Blue
Gold
Green
Purple
Polished
Black

We currently do not offer custom colors (sorry guys!)

We also have a very affordable Stainless Steel Series which shares the same head design as our current Titanium Series. Both our Stainless and Titanium Series are truly custom fasteners designed in house by us. We do not use Alum. for any of our fasteners as the finish tends to fade extremely quickly and the material is simply not as strong as Stainless or Titanium.

Also, as far as the cost goes for our Titanium Series Kits; Titanium is a very expensive material to manufacture. Each bolt goes through about 14 different steps before it becomes a finished product. We try to keep our prices as low as possible, while still providing Z enthusiasts with an extremely high quality product.

If there is interest in a GB we can offer one for our Titanium Series kits! We are looking into becoming a forum sponsor now so hopefully the mods won't take offence to our posting this here. Thanks again for the interest and we look forward to serving you in the future!

eddieconfetti 08-09-2010 12:19 PM

I'm down for the gold if the price us right. I think if many people jump on this then the price can be low.

Sounds good! Our Stainless Series Kits are very reasonable.

With a GB Our Titanium Series Kits will be more affordable, just looking to get an idea of how many people would be interested and then we can go ahead with it.

OMGWTFBBQ 08-09-2010 04:01 PM

I'm interested in a group buy pending how the prices work out.

eddieconfetti 08-09-2010 06:08 PM

im def down for the titanium over stainless steel.

DressUpBolts 08-10-2010 10:31 AM

Sounds good.. I'll work on getting some GB pricing together for you guys.

m4a1mustang 08-10-2010 11:17 AM

Edit. :)

DressUpBolts 08-12-2010 07:39 PM

Ok guys just signed up to be a forum sponsor. I'll get the GB going tomorrow for you guys!

OMGWTFBBQ 08-12-2010 09:12 PM

Not really sure why you would want to match a color with hardware. The idea is that they do not blend in. They stand out, and make the bay look "finished". If the matched the body color they would get lost... haha

Personally I think our Polished Ti would look great on your car/color.
