1. that's annoying that so many have it. I don't get how that can be so easily overlooked.

2. Yea I agree completely Ryan.

Nissan should be lucky i dont bring up half the issues i have with the car!

Thin paint, Acid water spots all over the hood, trunk, roof.
The rear trunk latch
Clutch noise at idle
Ecu high pitch sound
Unrelaible slave cylinder (NEW)
Im sure there are more, cant think right now!

All in all, i smell a lemon! if my problem isnt fixed

Default still waiting on a resolution

I got feedback from Consumer Affairs yesterday (finally) and the girl says that since so many Zs have it that it's somehow OK. Can you believe it??? In other words the warp in her opinion is apparently the "new standard". Unbelievable.
Anyway, at my insistence she is attempting to contact an engineer and is checking to see if there is a bumper made at another factory that doesn't have the warp. I doubt there is a second factory that makes the bumpers but I will wait and see.

Is it possible these are from when the plastic bumper is removed from the mold in the factory? Like where there would have been tabs that gets removed later in the process or something?

Best of luck to you guys that are affected!

Good luck getting Nissan to do anything about this, ive already been denied through Nissan Consumer Affars, and the dealer was even on my side.

I doubt very seriously that unless the affected parties all petition for some kind of fix that anything will change. Nissan Consumer Affairs told me the same thing they told somebody else on here. "if all the other cars have them, then it is normal"

It appears that after working with Consumer Affairs for many weeks that the final answer is "NO!". "No" to helping me. "No" to admitting they have a problem with their mold.
I was told that the warp is by design. When I asked what would be the reason for that design she said she didn't know. The regional rep visited the dealer and saw that all of the bumpers on the Zs were warped and pronounced it as "Normal".

Well I have news for them. I will NEVER buy another Nissan again. It was my first and now it will be my last. I have never been treated so badly by ANY car company!

I have it on my 09.

Nissan should start thinking about "customer loyalty.". I guess they don't care anymore about word-of-mouth advertising and "return customers."

I managed to get my stealership to reimburse me $300 towards repairs on good will. Thank god my Service Manager is a decent guy. Even though it was out of his hands, he still agreed to cover it under the condition that I bring him a paid invoice from a repair shop.
Now I just have to find a decent shop, I might be going to fontana nissan for the new bumper and paint work.
