So I went to Costco and bought a lot of stuff, usually take the SUV but I was in the Z.........

Bought a small air conditioner and put it on the front seat. A nylon strap around the box made little tears in the leather. Anyone know a god product to "fix" the ripped leather?

I am quite sure that nothing is gonna fix that.

hide it slightly but now that you know its there

you will ALWAYS see it.

I know the pain. the same thing happened with my megane coupe.

ouch, that hurt my eyes... :icon14: (part reading about taking Z to Costco!)

Ouch. I never put stuff in the seat ever. Only thing that goes in the seats is my ipod, and females

Comments about a product to repair it appreciated over comments that feel my pain. Thx.

you could either Replace your leather with katzkins or get a black sharpie.

They make a product that will address this issue... somewhere... out there...

Jeffblue 07-20-2010 10:51 AM

the section that has tears could be removed and replaced with a fresh piece. Call a place that does upholstery maybe? it'd probaly cost you at least 100 dollars tho.

IBTL YOU PEENS :stirthepot:

Scuffmaster | Leather Colours | Leather Dyes

This looks promising. Good reviews online.

Thanks for the help guys! :ugh2:

What you didn't want to replace the section or completly replace the leather?

yah, but they all turn out like repaired school bus seats. :rofl2:

Even remotely joking that I would be a child abductor or kidnapper, and placing them in my trunk / hatch is not very funny. I do not take kindly to such comments, or any reference to such material on this board period.

Looks like the damage is just superficial with only the outer coating of leather dye being damaged. This shouldn't be that bad to fix.
