*NEW* Top Secret CF engine cover

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4100/...8ac341b4_b.jpg

There are a few new parts in production, and I've been doing my best to keep everyone on here in the loop. I'll be in Japan next week, but I wanted to show you what the new Top Secret CF engine cover looks like.

This is the prototype, of course it works with the stock tower bar or the Top Secret one (pictured above). The vents are also designed to work with the new CF hood and turbo kit coming soon. However a stock hood is still no problem. The cooling just wont be as good. No pricing yet but if anyone is interested, please let me know.

I'll do everything I can to make sure the people that want it can get it in a timely manner and a price that's not too steep.

Thx!

JB-370z 07-06-2010 07:56 AM

Hey John I wish I was going out there with you!:)
My guess it that Baker Tuning is going to get their hands on these as well. A functional engine cover nice!

phelan 07-06-2010 08:30 AM

looks good, actually kinda nice to see someone design an engine cover isntead of just knocking off the stock design in CF

True. If you want just factory in CF, just wrap it.

...interested in a turbo or supercharger kit... heh heh...

Waiz 07-07-2010 11:18 PM

Nice design and material quality.

JB-370z 07-08-2010 08:39 AM

Looks like part of this covers the throttle bodies.

NYBladeZ 07-08-2010 08:47 AM

Cooling from an engine cover? There is little to no heat generated under there all the engine cover does is cover up the black plastic intake plenum. It's a great looking piece but will probably offer little to no cooling unless it somehow ties in with cooling their TT kit which I still can't foresee as justifying the price of the engine cover.

How much is it?

Maybe it directs air to flow to the turbo area? A stream of air maybe? I don't know just trying to figure this thing out.:ugh2:

Thats not that bad.
I plan on going with a GTR intake mani. otherwise I would pick one of these bad boys up.

209Z 07-08-2010 03:28 PM

It fits?

theDreamer 07-08-2010 03:30 PM

I think the GT-R manifold will require some modifying, but not impossible (hopefully).
Also, the Top Secret twin turbo kit, engine cover and hood are all meant to play together. Hopefully once we get some pictures of the hood we will see how it all flows together.

Zsteve 07-08-2010 04:17 PM

1 million dollars. Maybe not that high but it will be up there for these guys. Again its from Japan. Just look at the prices of the other things they are trying to sell.

Emotiongear 07-15-2010 07:37 PM

On the car...

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4140/...f68d2ccd_b.jpg

Top Secret initially only made 5 CF covers and is doing a special for $460. Two left.
Then it goes up to normal price of $550.

If anyone is interested or has any questions, pls let me know.

3SeventyZ 07-15-2010 07:45 PM

Might want to try giving 370ZTune/Bulletproof Auto a call also, as they are the Top Secret USA distributor.

LiquidZ 08-28-2010 07:29 PM

I run sans cover. I don't like hiding my engine.
