Can someone do me a favor?

I bought my Z used, and it didnt come with the chin spoiler or the air dams in front of the front wheels. There haven't been any DIYs that I have found on installing one. Can someone take pictures of theirs? I'm curious as to how its fastened. I already have holes drilled which makes me think the car had one at one point but not sure. For those who got one with their new car, did this part come with the necessary hardware for attaching it to the bumper?

Thanks

Bob

Nobody has a chin spoiler on their car? :pics:

mine came pre-installed. I believe it uses plastic rivets of sorts to mount to the body.

Does your car have the sport package?

ck the service manual to see how it's mounted...

or courtesyparts.com has illustrations on how it's put together.

usually when you buy OEM options, it comes with illustrated instructions.

My car does have the sport package but no front spoiler... maybe it was never installed? or it was removed prior to me buying the car? not sure, but im gonna buy it and install it, just don't know if i need to buy hardware/tools in combination with it

Can this be installed without removing the bumper?

It's not very complicated, I purchased one for my 350z and they have nearly the indentical install procedures.

You just remove the lower screws for the bumper and place the the diffuser between the bumper and the rivets. It should take you no more than 30 minutes max.

Somewhere in here is a thread similar to your but the guy just broke his chin and was going to repalce it. But I think the chin has "snap on" nipple for the holes you are seeing.

I ended up putting it on myself... without taking off the bumper... what a PITA! But all nice and new. It comes with nuts and bolts and a weird way to zip tie the corners...

Thanks... I couldnt find that for the life of me...

Oddly enough, my hardware doesn't look the same as in the DIY and I ended up installing mine without a jack or stands.
