I use the armour all gel...used it for the doors of my 350z because it was wierd matierial as well...i used it on the whole interior for a long time with no ill effects. I didn't even apply it very often either. Interior looked great on trade in 4+ years later

Try this:

Just add 2 capsule to water cup and spray all over, especially to headlights and grill.

Never Never

I keep a dusting type cloth that you use in the house in the glove box. To clean I just dampen a small terry towel with warm water and wipe the interior dash and panels.

Ya, I detail cars as a side hobby NEVER USE it!!!! Armour all ruins interiors over time.

I use Product 1000 and Statix-x or so emthing like that negativly charges dustparticles in interior

GreenJalapeno 05-25-2009 04:11 AM

wow i never knew armorall was that bad.. however, I had been using it on my previous car for years and it makes the plastic look new...

Someone be a guinea pig !

Another vote for 303. I've been using it for years on my boat interior and other vehicles -- and all surfaces still look like new. Rub it in nice -- and matte finishes --and is not slippery. It's amazing stuff. Anyone who uses this....where do you buy?

As a detailer and from personal experience with my cars...

303 > Vinylex > Most others > ArmorAll

I usually get my stuff from Proper Auto Care.

I have no plans on using armorall on the interior (I find it's better for fake and plasticy materials anyway, plus it's like a dust magnet), but what about for the walls of our tires? I think I saw in the owners manual something about not treating the tires with anything - it had something to do with messing with the compounds and oils in the tires. Is that something to worry about or is everyone pretty much using armorall or 303, etc on your tires anyway?

I buy my 303 on amazon. Pretty good deal.

:iagree:
The Natural Shine by Meguiars is by far the best I have ever used!!!
:happydance: I dont like my dash to be all slimy and gross. I like a touch of shine with a good UV blocker, and the natural shine does just this. I will never put anything else on my cars dash. End of story for me!

Well, I usually clean the my car all but 1 time a month. A couple months back, I went to my usual detailers. They usually wash and wax my car and every 6 months I have them clay bar my car. They know to NEVER use Armorall on my car. Unfortunately, the one time I didn't remind them because they always say "No worries, we know not to use it," they did. I got in my car and everything was sticky, shiny, and plain ol' gross. Took me 20 minutes to wipe it all down. Since, my car has lost its new-car smell which had been retained for 7 years thanks to the lack of garbage interior products like Armorall. :( I'm pretty angry about it, but there's nothing I can do about it. Thankfully, my interior is no longer shiny, but the armorall DID mess up my door panels. The leather tightened up after getting dry from the armorall.

DO NOT USE THAT CRAP!

Room42 11-27-2009 07:37 AM

+ natural shine

JB-370z 11-27-2009 08:47 AM

Natural Shine is not super stinky like 90% of the others. No slimy mess, dont make your dash look like and smell like its got tanning lotion all over. Nasty and gross. I opt for the first day I got it look! If you get any Armorall on your hand and then on the steering wheel** Forget it. Slimy messy feel for days when your trying to drive err... Natural Shine takes the win!

djamalt 11-29-2009 04:33 PM

That's all good and well, however I'm asking about tire care not interior and dash care. Maybe I'm in the wrong thread, but I couldn't find another. I'll keep looking.

cjof2003 11-30-2009 04:15 PM

Hmm, very interesting thread. I've been using ArmorAll on my RSX interior religiously for almost 8 years now.....it still looks brand new. http://forums.clubrsx.com/images/smilies/shrug03.gif
