Price: From $79.00 to $129.00 Anyway that link is for the trunk ones right? I really want to buy this. Want to be the first here :roflpuke2: |
So let me clarify. You only need to cut the Rubber portion where the ball joint needs to be exposed? about an inch of it or so?
And your website says "Carbon Fiber Hood Damper" but on selection scroll down menu, it says "370z REAR DECK"(?(?(?)?)?) thanks |

ryan- while your IT guy's figuring out the basket button...
how much further does the hood open vs the stock prop post? the washer fluid hose on the passenger side looks okay in you pict, but just wanted to make sure the dampers dont open the hood too far cause i know that hose is kinda short when the hood's open. does that make any sense? :D hahaha |
hummm... open 9-5 EST. looks like the store closed for the day. :D :icon14:
|
man im never closed... at home now ;p
Actually the hood opens probably a micro meter more.... Hose should be fine. Ill double check it tomorrow at the warehouse! anyways, button is fixed now guys! |
I want to be the first one ;)
Do I get a discount if I do a write-up/review? |
I shall be the first HAH.
:roflpuke2: These are them right? http://prosportgauges.com/carbon-fib...-damper-2.aspx |
dang these are dope!
|
Ordered I think im the first no? :roflpuke2:
|
Since your the first, be sure to provide review/pics
|
I shall
I shoudl totally get those nismo valve thingies as a bonus :roflpuke2: |

I shall do so.
I will also look for a way to minimise cutting of the rubber. Wouldn't it be possible to cut the rubber open and then put the bearing in. like the bearing being INSIDE the rubber instead of just removing it. I shall revolutionise this product :roflpuke2: |
yah, i looked at the rubber/plastic cover (you can just peel it back from the side to see the screw for the ball joint). it'll take some trial and error to cut it but i think i can definitely cut the plastic without trimming the rubber seal at all. :)
the area removed in ryan's pict is pretty significant... like 12" or more. i also realized that the washer hose does not stretch before the hood's hinge hits the a-pillar cover. as long as there is no contact on the a-pillar cover when fully opened, i think im sold. :p |
so, any kind of guarantee against hood bending? Since our hoods are aluminum, the force should be lower on these than typical steel hood struts to ensure that the power of the struts don't damage the hood.
|
Will there ever be dampeners specifically for carbon fiber hoods?

So ryan. Am I the first that bought them? :roflpuke2:
And what is the ETA on delivery |
So when you go to open the hood, will it pop up on it's own just like the trunk already does?
|
Quote:
It will ship today and usually international orders take 6-10 business days. ill PM you a tracking number |

Ryan, are you going to do any non carbon fiber versions?
I am sure weight savings is minimal with the carbon fiber and I would just like a nice black. |
Quote:
I think I should get them |
