Mine is fucl<ed too!

They painted mine with zEro resistance what's so ever. Maybe the service managers pictures did not come out that clear. Go at night park under street light and your car will be two tone like no other time. As long as he actualy sends them through I bet there cover it . They did for Many others.

I would also go to another dealership and try there
too.

So, I finally got a dealer to agree to paint the sideskirts, but he swears they won't look any better, maybe even worse. That's a good convincing line. What would you do, would you have them paint them, and have them maybe be even worse? It sucks that all of these PWs have this problem (slight difference in my sideskirts). If I could do it all over again, anal as I am, I wouldn't have bought the white.

^any competant paint shop can match the color. My bumpers match and my shine auto rear spats match.

In your previous post, you say that the pearl doesn't match anymore - what's the issue with that?

if you cant get nissan to take care of it like me how much do you think it would cost?

The dealer-contracted paint shop who painted the bumpers matched the white dead on. But they didn't add enough pearl so the depth of the paint is off.

I had my rear spats painted at a another reputable shop and the paint and pearl effect is dead on.

Just a guess but to get the bumpers resprayed I would say 500 each. Members who painted their stillen bumpers can chime in on this.

ahh I hate that I have to spend money to paint my brand new car! I shouldnt have been nice and polite to the dealer and nissanUSA. I bet if I was a jerk it would be fixed by now. Even though my parents never give me anything they do have a really really good laywer who owns his own firm who offered to help, my step moms a laywer and my real moms friends with the district attorney of marietta. Maybe I should attack Nissan and get my paint job!!!! Who else wants in!!!!!

Our 370Z has very few miles and is garaged or in a parking garage and the color differentiation has gotten worse with time. The plastic panels take-on a warmer golden hue (so much for fancy paint additives regarding adhesion and flexibility). It doesn't help that the plastic body parts become statically charged (like Frost's hair) and attract dirt like a magnet. Also, the splash guards are not even remotely color-matched and that draws further attention to the rest of the Z's panels. Yeah, Nissan's Z paint jobs are not up there with the best of them. However, it you drive your Z at night, and only after allowing it to get filthy for six months with no wash, then you can't tell the difference.

Body shops are much better than they used to be. Stuff I have had done came back perfect. I think the salesman is trying to talk you out of it. GO FOR IT.

I took delivery of a 2010 PW roadster in May, a April 2010 build, and I was very concerned about the match - but it looked perfect on delivery. So I think they may have solved the problem. The real test will come in a couple of years, because the paint on plastic ages differently. That's OK because it will give me an excuse to get the Ferrari.
