Zaino shine lasts a long time, easy to use and stands up to the elements. I doubt I will ever use anything else.

I'm new to Zaino and planning on purchasing the "Ultimate Protection Show Car Kit" which includes:

ZFX™ Flash Cure Accelerator Additive
Z-2 PRO™ Show Car Polish for Clear Coated Car Finishes
Z-5 PRO™ Show Car Polish for Swirl Marks and Fine Scratches
Z-6™ Ultra Clean Gloss Enhancer Spray
Z-7™ Show Car Wash
Z-9™ Leather Soft Spray Cleaner
Z-10™ Leather in a Bottle
Z-16™ Perfect Tire Gloss
Z-18™ ClayBar

My question is I see this contains polishes, but do you apply a wax after as well?
I have always been under the impression that a polish is a cleaner while a wax is a protectant? Do you know if the leather products would work well in the Z's which have suede inserts? Any other product suggestions? Thanks.

After using Zanio, I dont plan on using anything else. It took awhile to lay down the layers; but in the sun, the car is absolutely amazing.

I washed with the Z7, clayed it and rinsed, toweled dried it. THEN the fun over 2 days....Z6, Z5, Z6, Z5, Z6, Z2, Z6, Z2, Z6. Now, I just wash it with Z7 and hit it with Z6. Whenever I fee like I need to wax it again, I will wash with Z7, dry, Z6, Z2 and final with Z6.

Yeah, that's why I don't use Zaino. Too many applications over too much time. I like detailing and usually spend 2 hours at a time doing it, and I normally detail the car once a week.

So spending that kind of time on my Z is crazy.

Polish, then wax! The polish helps deepen the shine after you wax.
But make sure to read the directions for the products! I use Meguiars, I'm not familiar with the product your using. "Meguiars polish has to be whipped off before it dries"!

zaino:shakes head: Not the best or worth it IMO

Cheaper but great wax is poorboys Natty's red or blue
step upto P21S 100%, then go for Pinnicale Souvorn, Wolfgang Fuzion, or DoDo juices many different yet vehicle color specific waxes.
I'll try and get pictures of the different vehicles I've done with different waxes.

All the effort is up front as phantom21 pointed out. After that you don't need to spend two hours a week detailing or whatever. Just wash the car, dry and use a spray quick detailer of your choice. The application of Zaino polish is no different than applying a wax or other polish. The polish wipes off very easily. There is no need to apply a wax afterwards at least in my experience with it. The shine gets deeper with multiple coats. So, for those who have not tried Zaino, please don't knock it until you have tried it.

lol... I spend that much time because I enjoy it and get distracted with the little details. I also think it's therapeutic. I have tried Zaino and didn't think it was the shiznit, so for those that think it's the end all of products, please don't judge others as if we don't know anything.

I woudlnt buy the protection kit.
I would buy these items and save cash if its cheaper
ZFX™ Flash Cure Accelerator Additive
Z-2 PRO™ Show Car Polish for Clear Coated Car Finishes
Z-6™ Ultra Clean Gloss Enhancer Spray
Z-7™ Show Car Wash
Z-8
ZS-Clear Seal
Z-16™ Perfect Tire Gloss
Z-18™ ClayBar
And toss in 1 order for there yellow and white cloths each they sell that are ultra soft and you will probably be set.

Z5 is extra hard to use and i dont believe it really works as intended.

As for the leather stuff i never used it and i cant comment.

The finish does not look "plasticy" it looks more like glass or water.

Thanks Forrest! +1 rep!

the new meguiars gold class carnauba plus is AMAZING. I also love the tech wax 2.0. Regular applications of either about once a month should provide great results as long as you quick detail and wash regularly in between

AngelNismo 05-05-2015 08:32 AM

Does anyone use rain x wax?

Amj2020 05-05-2015 09:24 AM

Zaino is a lot of work and seems more like a chemistry experiment. I have been using Adams sealant after I polish, then I give it a coat of dodo juice purple haze. The stuff smells great, and comes off easy. Its wayyyyy overpriced and probably no different from any other wax. I also had used Adams Americana wax, and it was a little expensive for what it was, good durability though

Kind of surprised at all the Zaino love in this thread. They make good products, but I've looked at them as being older tech/chemistry and that there have been more advancements in recent years. IMO Zaino is still much better than autoparts store products, Meguirs n Mothers, but I personally love Chemical Guys products.

I use this wax lately as a final step:
Chemical Guys WAC_111_16 - Extreme Depth Liquid Carnauba Creme Wax + X-Seal (16 oz)EXTREME DEPTH LIQUID CARNAUBA CREME WAX + X-Seal (16 oz)

Prior to waxing, if time permits I'll do several applications of their creme glaze:
Chemical Guys GAP_111_16 - Extreme Shine EZ Creme Glaze (16 oz)
