Wow, that's a lot of work and money! Would it have been easier and cheaper to just trade your Z in, take the hit and get the Nismo?

Easier? Yes. Cheaper? Debatable... If I can fabricate the under engine cover and send it back, then i'll come out a lot cheaper. Plus, I can do all the body work/painting

this is what i would have done too

unless you plan to keep this car forever, when it's time to sell it, it's going to be tough for you to recover the expenses you have made to make your car look like a nismo.
