Hey that looks pretty good. I thought about doing this a while back, but someone else did it and it came out terrible. You did a great job with it though and it came out pretty well.

Nice work.

JB-370z 03-17-2010 06:13 PM

how is the fitment with the shine kit?

simota1 03-17-2010 07:03 PM

its ok... it lines up pretty well i wont lie there are about 1/16 gaps on the edges..... and it doesnt have brackets so i made my own... my only concern is they are hella thin lol one good slam and these babies will crack i did however went ahead and reinforced the end caps already with fiber tech

PapoZalsa 03-17-2010 09:14 PM

Nice!

LateralG'z 03-17-2010 09:27 PM

sweet

SE 03-17-2010 09:45 PM

Actually Shine Auto is stronger than it looks. Did you go with their reinforced FRP? I think all of their FRP products are flexible.

simota1 03-17-2010 10:42 PM

i think its that hybrid frp stuff? yah its pretty flexible..

NewYorkJon34 04-18-2010 11:00 PM

Are the rears cheap then? I wonder how good the quality is on the real sunline racing rear side pieces? I really don't want any gaps.

im pretty sure the quality on the real sunline racing ones are perfect.. like they always say... you get what you pay for.... the qaulity of the shine replicas are pretty good.. the fiberglass is laid neatly and is flexible...

JB-370z 04-27-2010 08:25 PM

How would you grade the fitment of the sunline kit on a scale 1-10 with ten being the best??

simota1 04-27-2010 08:49 PM

a 7...... its great except for the 1/8 gap right in the middle of of the caps that go on the rear bumper...

I might have to go for the real thing then. 2k for the full kit in FRP is a little steep but, when it comes to cosmetics everythings got to fit right. Paying for the car to look bad does not make sense, ya dig. I can't tell there is a gap. So where is the center cap you speak of? Do you mean the gap between the Evo-R cap and the Sunline Spats???
I can't tell if the real thing has the gaps or not........Kinda looks like there is no gap between the outline and the spat.

simota1 04-27-2010 09:31 PM

the area between where the bumper curves out like looking at the tailights... draw a straight line down.. thats the area with a gap... i dont know if the real sunline kit has no gap either.... u wont notice the gap until you look at it from a top view...
