Anyone make lower seat rails for stock seats?

Does anyone make seats rails that are lower for stock seats? On the track my helmet hits the roof sometimes and would love to solve this problem without getting aftermarket seats.

No....The stock rails are integrated into the seat bases. They can't be removed, and unlikely that they could be modified..

We need viper-esque roof bumps for our heads.

modshack- is there a way to raise the stock seats like an inch? im a tad short from waist up....

you could easily do that by putting spacers between the floor and the rails. The 240Z came with actual spacers that you used to adjust the seat height.

thanks for the info. darn there goes a cheap way to get a lower seat height.

of course there is. take some measurements, cut where the brackets bolt down onto the frame and weld on shorter ones.

Modshack, can the feat of the seats be unbolted from the rails?

Raise the seat using the adjusters? Booster seat?

but the rails are bent where it mounts to the floor... not so easy.

i'm 6'2" and have a longer torso. i only have a 1 finger gap between my head and the headliner so wearing a helmet for the track would be a no go. i took a look at how the seat rail is designed and realized that there is a possibility of lowering the seat height approx. 2 inches by cutting and modifying the rails. this would require a metal fabricator. luckily my friend's shop has one so i'll most likely be getting this done in the near future. i'll post pictures and results when i do.
