Default Botched splash guard install from factory?

Hey guys, I was was washing my car today and I happened to glance underneath and I noticed that the drivers side front splash guard wasn't fully bolted in underneath. I'm not sure if it came like that or became loose over time, but it appears that the screw that goes from the bottom of the guard up into the side skirt isn't fastened. It also looks like the tab that is attached to the inside of the side skirt that the screw is supposed to go through is split at the front. Is it supposed to be like this? Thanks

How long have you had the car? Any incidents that might have caused damage? Low curbs, etc?

Aren't the splash guards a dealer installed option? If so it's not unusual for a dealer tech to improperly install something.

yeh, my passenger side rear was not installed properly either. had to partially remove it and put a jack on it with a heatgun to re shape it. was pretty bad.

when i checked the car, it looked fine from the side, but i didnt look under the rear bumper all too well. it's fixed now but i highly recommend new buyers to thoroughly check the splash guard install the dealer did.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing on my passengers side... and I know I didnt bottom out or scrap them in any way. Must be another great dealer installation

Yeah I've never been in an accident, bottomed out or anything. The thing that has me worried is it looks like the tab on the side skirt that the splash guard connects to is cut or split in the middle. Is it supposed to be like this?
