Key fobs don't work
Hi everybody,
for some time my key was not working well and it stopped working last week. I change the battery of these keyfob by Duracell and I still have the same problem. Does the key need to be trained ? Need I check some fuse for keyfob ? Thank you very much for your help :hello: |
Did your key light ever illuminate on dash, showing the battery was getting weak?

And yes, it’s possible for the key fobs to lose program....
|
Just noticed that you’re in France, I know things on these cars are programmed differently for other countries.
As the key fob normally has a range of about 33’ in the US |

I don't know what is involved. FSM will have R&R procedures to give you an idea of how difficult the job is. |
There's an antenna inside the center armrest/consle/whatever on top of the tranny hump. There's another antenna on the rear of the Z behind the bumper.
You should probably try replacing the fob battery before you start pulling the Z apart. Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk |
Well you might have just got a bad new battery. A lot of times these button batteries sit on shelves for years in the store. Try another set from some other store, and are both key fobs doing the same thing? You should have gotten two when you got the car.
