My 1/2" one has the head mushrooming over from being beat on with a sledge. :icon14:

You all have some very creative ways to get around the theft-deterrent for the steering wheel assembly.

If my steering wheel assembly looks like it was tampered with and/or missing, everyone in this thread will be my prime suspects.

They’re called Indian Tricks :stirthepot:

My 2014 has T-30 torx bolts, no proprietary lock?

That's why I wrote "this 2014". I have no idea which years or models nissan decided to do this on. No rhyme or reason. Nissan at their finest :shakes head:

I just looked at the Nismo number plaque inside and it's #666.

Ok, now I'm really pissed. I got the bolt extractor set today (13 piece). One of the extractors fit super tight on the bolt. I used my electric impact driver and kept upping the torque until it instead of turning the bolt, it rounded off the inside of the extractor. The damn bolt head doesn't barely have a mark on it.

The carbide bits are coming out tomorrow.

Sure did. I used a 3/16 bit. I was screwing around anymore. I can get the other section of the bolt out of the airbag with a pair of vice grips. I not using it anyway though, I installed the 2015+ airbag.
