Default Headlight Armor Film Review

Purchased this film to try and protect the headlights from salt and sand, as replacement headlights new are running about $2200 a pair

Read the directions 4x and watched the install video another 4x.

Work was done in the garage to avoid contamination by blowing wind, etc. The kit is two-piece, due to the complex curves of the 2014 headlights.

Started with the driver side using the larger piece. I had several dime-size bubbles that I was able to squeegee out with patience. However, there was some creasing that I just couldn't get rid of. Tried using a hairdryer with the install with limited success.

The passenger side was even worse for the creasing. I finally took out a razor blade to cut off- the crease.

The summary will get me through the winter for limited driving. Would I want to keep it in the long term? If it looked better yes, I would consider, but the film looks like crap. The directions are generic. If you have relative flat headlights, it is probably a decent product, but not for the Z.

The price of the product was $70 delivered.
Time spent on install 90 minutes.
