The fact of the matter is that LOTS of people have issues with EVO-R. This isn't some vendor with a handful of negative reviews spearheaded by a small group. There are EVO-R horror stories all over the internet on a ton of different vehicle forums. As for the why, I'm not sure it even matters at this point; whatever the reason, it's not worth the risk. The writing is already on the wall for you, so I'm not sure why you would ignore it and give him money.

If you must buy EVO-R, buy from a vendor. NEVER buy directly from from Jay/EVO-R. Doesn’t matter if he verbally or states in writing it’s in stock...doesn’t matter if his latest website says it’s in stock. Doesn’t matter if he says “it’ll be shipped today”.

There are threads with concrete sequence of events showing what happens when you order direct from Jay @ EVO-R, even AFTER he confirmed availability and ship out date.

I saw those, but I only want them if they have the silver Z option, and Jay is the only one who offers it at a feasible price.

Yeah I would have ordered these they look nice but ended up with different sill plates. Everyone has different taste when it comes to sill plates.

What plates did you end up getting?

I carbon wrapped the black portions of the OE with illumination and is enough for me.

EVO-R is just reselling carbon parts from Alibaba.

Just go straight Alibaba and order from there.
