I tried this, but when I took mine out it was solid and not shaking at all like this guy's was.
I did remove the old muffler heat shield and that helped quiet a lot of the buzzing noise in the lower rpms. Still haven't been able to find anything else though.

Well after a lot of investigative work I have found the source of the rattle that I hear coming from the rear passenger side of the hatch when going over bumps. The problem is where the rear bumper meets the driver side quarter panel over the wheel well. If you press along that seam you get a terrible squeak/rattle that travels right through the hatch. Now the question is - Any suggestions how to fix this? Car is practically new with 2k miles on it, so I'm trying to keep from doing anything too invasive.

Squeaks and rattles are covered under warranty. But if you don't want to mess with the dealer, maybe shim thin cuts of thin adhesive foam between the panels. I use to do that for interior squeaks and rattles on various cars and it worked great.

Not necessarily this, but it's what I'm talking about. https://www.amazon.com/Pres-P8225RL0...p/B01G382DX4/r
