Since it was brought up, where and how is everyone attaching their front splitters? I'm guessing most use the front bumper but has anyone mounted theirs to the chassis in any way, shape, or form? ...and I'd so, which splitter and how since the majority I see are APR (pics would be great).

I have installed a couple of Next Level Performance Splitters and have custom made one on the car. Mine is mounted to the front bumper as stated and then it is mount to my Zspeed under tray. I sandwich the back part of the splitter between the frame and the under tray bolt back edge of the splitter to the six bolt slots on the front the Zspeed under tray that would normally attach to the oem under tray. It a very solid fit. You still need splitter rods up front because under braking or just lifting at high speeds, the front end of bumper will flex downward and the splitter and the front bumper will damaged. Yep, ask me how I know lol. I don't have my car right now so I can't take any pictures for you.

I have the ZSpeed undertray as well so I think I have a rough idea of how you have it mounted. What did you mount the rods to? I got rid of the front crash bar since I'm running Admin intakes and Z1 filters/velocity stacks and have the FI tow bar instead.

Also, thanks for chiming in. I really appreciate it.

The splitter rods are mount through the bumper and a rectangular piece of aluminum is used as backing plate to add strength and rigidity.

Ouch, yeah without the crash bar in place its much harder to mount that splitter to something more solid than the bumper.

Yeah... I've been looking at bar clamps thinking that it may be possible to use that and mount one end of the rod to the tow bar and the other to the splitter. I found a few that should suffice but I need to get a look at the ends of the rods as well as their length to be sure.
