Carbon Signal DRL nismo

Hi Guys, Have tried searching.... I almost have all my parts for my nismo conversion. I have the carbon signal leds and im wondering the best way to wire them.

I almost have all my parts for my nismo conversion. I have the carbon signal leds and im wondering the best way to wire them. I dont want to use the factory harness as I want them on all the time. Should i connect to the spare slot in the fuse box in the engine bay? I connected them straight to the battery to test them when i got them and they got really hot for some reason. Any ideas?
