Updates?

Anyone still working with a vendor to develop some hood dampers for the 370z? My car is available in the Tampa Bay region for testing if need be.

TipsZ, I am glad you are staying on top of the 370Z hood dampers. Frankly, I can't believe that no one has come out with these yet. As soon as they do I'll be in line to get a set. Love the ones on my 350Z.

Any update on these? Anyone else have interest in obtaining a set of Hood Dampers? Perhaps, if the vendors see more interest in these, they could see the urgency in developing a set to get to the market quickly.

I would buy a set.

How hard is it to make these?
The first week I got my car I drove the car with a friend to a Mustang shop, he needed some parts, and there first thing when we popped the hood was how to fit a Mustang kit on the Z. Should have taken them up on the offer, but we were in a rush.

Depends. I had to have custom brackets made, to make them not look bulky and cheap. Also, I would not use other kits. The struts come in different lbs. The hood weight and angle is what determines that. Using the wrong lb strut, u can very easily bend the hood.

It's not rocket science, but it does take some testing.

Yeah, but the 370 has been out for a while now.

I got lazy doing this because I thought a few vendors jumped on it. Maybe I should go back and take a look...
