Question Headlight modes/settings for 370

Edit: I have no clue how it made another thread when I tried to edit the original I apologize for that. I honestly don't know what happened.

Long story short, I'm getting my headlights done and adding things such as halo lights and a daylight running light (morimoto zdrl light) etc.. the installer is asking now how I'd like to do the wiring .....

The z is fairly new to me and I didn't get much driving time with it before it got parked for the winter and I don't have access to the headlights as they are with the guy doing the so I'm not familiar with what lights come on and with which modes and such and it was set to auto the entire time too lol. Its a 2011 sport touring, Canadian model if it makes a difference..

The way I'd like to have it set is........ I'll have the morimoto zdrl function as a drl and always stay on day and night and since it's a switchback it'll work with the oem turn signal also. The plan was to wire them to the parking lights but I'm not sure if the parking lights are on while night driving? And the halo lights will simply come on with the low beams.

I'd obviously prefer plug in play if what I'd like to do is possible. Any help is appreciated

Here is what the installer suggested

There's 3 options.
1 & 2 will turn on & off automatically, 3 will stay on whenever you tell it to.
1 & 2 make the lights plug and play. 3 requires extra wiring from you

1. Wire to drl. Turns on & off with drl's.
2. Wire to parking light, comes on with parking light, off with parking light.
3. I leave the power wires unconnected and you run a wire from them inside your cabin so that you can flick them on/off at your leisure, including when the car is off if you wanted to show them off with friends.

Default

If u do option 1 u can redo the drla to come on and stay on pretty easily. If that solves ur problem.
