Default z1 hood struts bulge

Hello everyone! I installed z1 hood struts last year and noticed theres tiny bulging happening here on driver's side. I took pictures of my install and if anyone who has done the install themselves could look into them and check if all is good I'd be really thankful Please don't mind the dust and the icky stuff(previous owner had spilt something and it's yellowish and I haven't cleaned the engine bay yet...), car is hibernating for 2 more months

Edit: Forum doesn't resize my huge images

Did you trim the plastics and the foam where the struts touches the edge of the brake fluid area?

I notched out the plastic on the covers. Used a dremel to achieve a nice finish.
