He was interested AK but it seems nobody here is interested in this kind of work...:shakes head: For those who havent seen what this does to your interior you are SERIOUSLY missing out!!! I would be willing to work with anyone to help them design or put together a package deal for your interiors. Guys just let me know and I will make sure you get taken care of

I will work with Joe to honor this pricing even if we dont hit the 10 person mark.

kevr6 08-11-2010 09:04 PM

I'm late to this thread. How does this work? Do we send our interior parts in or core swap after receipt of product?

bullitt5897 08-11-2010 09:20 PM

At first it's a ship in and get it back unless there is enough interest then Joe will purchase cores for exchange. Kevr you ate local and Joe can do your stuff over the weekend or in like a day.

Alcantara comes in all types of "fuzzy" lengths as you so put it. I chose a medium short length so that it attracts less dirt. However, the pros to Alcantara are simply this: A cleaner look in the car, If on seats... the surface temp is cooler (IMHO), You get more grip in your seat versus cloth and leather, and the rest are simply cosmetic reasons. When you say fuzzy I think you are referring to suede which has a fuzzy look to it. The nice thing about Alcantara is that you can get that plush feel of suede without the cons of owning suede.

Really its up to each person if you want Alcantara... if you dont want Alcantara there is always leather, vinyl and many other materials we can use.

How much would it take to get my wheel looking like that Lambo in the picture? I always loved the alcantra steering wheels in super cars. Only way I would do this is if they had a core on hand. That way I could just ship them back my old steering wheel in the same box.

bullitt5897 08-18-2010 10:00 AM

I am just guessing as it depends on how thick you want it... but expect anywhere from $350-$425 as a ball park guestimate...

Im interested but just want to know about alcantara...i have heard it fades quickly in sunlight and some say they dont fade..considering living in desert here it always very sunny

bullitt5897 08-19-2010 04:13 PM

I have had mine for over a year and my red italian leather has already began to fade a lil bit but the Alcantara still looks like new! You can always condition it too that will help it last much longer.

Here is some work I had done by Alex and JPM Coachworks on my 2005 STi. Altogether I had them do: 1)alcantara steering wheel w/ extra padding, 2)shift boot, 3)e-brake boot, 4)armrest cover w/ extra padding, and 5)the inside of the rear armrest. His work is top-notch and I highly recommend his shop! I don't have money to get my 370z wheel done at this point in time, but you bet in the future, once I get some $$, I will definitely be having it done!!!
