I notice those also. If you check out the seller's feedback on Ebay, the people that have bought this spoiler are posting positive feedback about it. Maybe one is a forum member that can give a good review.

rainman1ne 10-07-2016 07:56 AM

Not bad, I work at a body shop so I'm used to installs like this

You've got resources.

Is it the angle or the spoiler looks really long compared to the aerojacket / fly1 one?

rainman1ne 10-07-2016 11:10 PM

Nothing major other than drilling into a virgin hatch lol

I just found DAR today i'm looking at the nismo styled spoiler does anyone else have any information as to whether or not they make a decent product?

cooltoy 10-18-2016 11:22 AM

Looks like rainman1ne is the only one that said he installed their duckbill and he seems to be happy with it.

Silly Rabbit 11-13-2016 09:54 AM

I removed the stock spoiler yesterday. Not too difficult, went slow and managed to get it off without damaging the spoiler.

The DAR spoiler is pretty nice. The fit is very close, slightly loose of the ends, but there are threaded holes to pull it down. I went for the painted option and they matched pearl white very close. It's slightly whiter, but not vastly noticeable. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it.

I will be installing it this afternoon. There are two bolts that match the stock inner bolts location. There are four outer bolt locations, two on each end, that don't appear to line up with anything. Definitely will have to drill through the hatch. But also looks like there isn't clear access to that area, so another hole will have to be drilled in the underside of the hatch also.

I'll follow up with more info later.

Hi Silly Rabit, trix are for kids.
Thank you for posting, please keep us updated. If the fitment/quality is pretty good, might have to consider this over Fly1...despite how much I love that carbon duckbill they got.
Would you mind trying to take a pic of the top flat part of the spoiler from a side angle to see how smooth/flat the reflection is. Usually with these fiberglass aero products they have lots of waves that need body filling, this even goes for good fitting brands like Shine/AeroJacket.
Thank you.

Installation wasn't the smoothest. There is no way to access the outer holes from underneath, so I drilled a 1 1/4 hole to get access to these. It would have been better to drill a hole for each bolt, it was a fight to get the bolts tightened down with the angle and no room to work. But it is possible.
When you drill through the top of the deck, you with drill through 2 layer of metal. Then you have to drill an access hole underneath to install them. The screws they supply are very short, not long enough to use on the outside in 2 of the 4 holes. I will have to find some grommets or hole plugs to clean things up.
Overall, the appearance is very nice. Surface is smooth and paint is good. I would say this is on the edge of too much for the casual DIY garage job, but possible if you take your time and have patience. If I did it again, I would have drilled 4 smaller holes on the underside instead of 2 larger holes.
