Default How to tell: OEM Nissan Parts?

Well, the unthinkable happened on the weekend: some prick backed into my Z in the parking lot and of course, forgot to leave his contact info . After filing a hit & run police report, contacting my insurance company, tomorrow I will be taking it to a body shop to get an estimate on the repairs. The rear bumper is indented and pushed out of position and the left tail light assembly is cracked. Aside from going to a reputable body shop, which I am going to, is there any way to verify I have genuine OEM Nissan parts?

Also, what is behind the rear bumper on the lefthand side? Anything I should be particularly worried about (i.e., check for damage)?
