Default Headlight Not Turning On?

My driver side headlight is not illuminating when I try to turn my headlights on? Sometimes it will turn on and sometimes the drivers side headlight will not turn on but the passenger side headlight will? I have 8000K Xenon HID ultra white/blue headlight bulbs currently installed. Any ideas what come be wrong with my headlight? The stock Halogen light bulbs work just fine though for some reason? Ideas?

I think 370zBLAST is on the right track. Get an OEM-spec lamp and see if it will turn on when plugged in to that side. If it doesn't light, you probably have a bad ballast.

Edit: Check and make sure you have power to the ballast.

Swap the bulbs and if it the problem follows to the passenger side then you know where the problem is and it's NOT the ballast.

I will try that thanks I am thinking it’s the headlight bulbs also. We will see soon what it is?

This. Not sure if anyone other than Trips read where you said it's limited to the 8000K bulbs but to reiterate: if it works perfectly fine with one set and is intermittent with another, more than likely it's the bulbs. What brand are they? I know that some brands (Philips, Osram) don't even make lights in that spectrum as they get start getting dimmer the higher they are on the Kelvin scale (although they do look neat in the super blue/pink/violet/etc. colors).

Certain brands just aren't compatible. I have a set of 6k's for sale that are.

It turned out to be a faulty drivers side headlight bulb. I swapped out both headlight bulbs for good measure and both headlights are fixed and illuminate now. Thanks all.
