I agree however couldnt they do a light color spray and clear and get the same effect? I have seen it done before where a light coat of paint was applied to tint the CF to the desired color... i.e. normal CF became blue CF... that was my thought.

Most of the colored CF weaves you see are a hybrid Carbon/Kevlar material....The color is in the cloth, not the epoxy pigment or a painted on coloring... You'd have to cut and overlay materials based on my experience in working with this stuff..2x2 twill is hard to work with as it's a very "loose" fabric. It can be done...Would just take a lot of care and time to set up right in the mold..

Ohhh yeah I again agree with you and I know what it takes to make CF parts. If the were to make it multi color CF it would have to be made in stages and would be so much of a PITA that it wouldnt be worth it. What I was talking about was regular CF and then just masking everything off and spraying the silver areas with a light coat of color to get the desired look and then from there removing the masking and finish the clear coating process.

Its a concept... a Neat one but just a concept none the less. Modshack as always your right on target

i was gonna quote your guys entire convo, but i gave up haha. Basically what was stated, the cost to have different colors of weave and then setting these up for production would probably make the product too expensive for the average owner to want to hop on board. Alliance is trying to keep our cost low while ousting the competition in quality.

i love the color schemes you came up with Mike, but to be honest it probably wont happen

That being said, for the emblem area, maybe we can have that area shaved with no holes or indentations for the logo, and then find and sell with the covers nissan or 'Z' badges that mount with adhesive so you can choose what you want to put there, or even leave it blank! hows that idea sound?

Would it be possible toget it in Red CF or Blue CF or even Yellow or Grey(titanium) CF? I would like to keep the center sections blank so we can add our own logos. Also I think the placement I had for the alliance logo is the best place. but that is my :twocents:

That would be done real easy with silver carbon fiber. (Hexcel texelium)
