Black Box Under The Steering Wheel

Theres this little black box under my steering wheel with what seems to be like a button on the back of it, any idea of what this is? I bought the car used so I don't know what it is or does.
Thank you guys!

Gonna say it's a dealer add on before you post pics

I can't see the pic (probably because of cookies) but DE.50 is probably right about it being an add-on.

The FSM (link in my sig) has drawings of all the different parts that make up a Z.

If it's from the dealer maybe an easy to get to extended storage switch?

Zoren 370 12-11-2015 07:39 AM

Infrared nuts warmer?

Masterbeatty 12-11-2015 07:51 AM

Alarm?

JARblue 12-11-2015 07:58 AM

I'm guessing that is a device the dealer installed to send all driving data back to their headquarters for analysis and storage in case the owner ever files a warranty claim :twocents:

Trace the wires, and see where they go. What happens when you push the button?

looks like a valet switch for a remote start?

King_Ch1cas 12-11-2015 09:36 AM

Thanks for all the responses guys! I've followed the wires and it goes to my fuse box. I'm starting to think it's a dealer add on, suck though that it's not an ejector seat.
