Has anyone burned both wire harness just by connecting the Greddy LED lights?

Dealer told me today that one or both of my wire harness to my 09 370 are no good... they are telling me that the LEDS caused the problem. When

Default Has anyone burned both wire harness just by connecting the Greddy LED lights?

Dealer told me today that one or both of my wire harness to my 09 370 are no good... they are telling me that the LEDS caused the problem. When the lights are on I loss power where the car doesnt go faster then 40 mph..

they have had it for two weeks and couldnt find out what was the problem. Yesterday they both in a nissan engineer and told them it was the harness...

And each wire harness cost 1,900 and then labor..

did you use a relay on them? it sounds like you didnt and just tapped into the headlight circuits.

No relay... Would that cause that much damage?

thats strange man? i never had any problem with my leds.... did you tap it to the headlights? or the parking lamp... dannnnnggggg 1,900 for a harness? thats rape man

i highly doubt that the leds did that to your car man.... headlights have no connection to you not going over 40mph.... i would assume your stealership is like mine where they are just blaming your mods to the prob.....

on a side note i didnt use a relay either.... from what i read on this forum before... i forgot where... the led strips use so little power they dont need a relay..... and i have had my leds for months now....

Anything is possible I suppose, but if these are those decorative LED strips that are used around the headlights, well they hardly take any power at all. When installing my 20" LED strips on each headlight I pre-tested them with one of those little 9V radio batteries. That's the beauty of LED's they are super efficient and super low power draw. You should have blown a fuse before you cooked the harness. Heck, the LED's probably draw less than the relay itself would draw. If it really damaged the harness I would expect to find some secondary problem that allowed this to happen.

I highly doubt the LED DRLs caused your problem, but you should have tapped into the parking light wire (green) if you didn't. I ran mine for 3-4 months until some of the LEDs burnt out, so I ripped them out lol.
