Dropped the car off this morning and just got a call back. They said that the sensor in the bottom part of the passenger seat was bad (I have the leather/alcantara touring package seats). They are going to have to replace the passenger side seat bottom. They have to order the part and said it will take a couple of days. Thank God I am still under warranty, I can just imagine how much they would charge for a seat bottom! Even though I have a 2012, the first buyer didn't purchase till 2/2014, so I'm good till 2/2017 with my warranty. I'll report back after I get the car back and drive it for a few days.

Just got the car back. Seat bottom cushion had to be special ordered. All seems well so far. If I apply light pressure for a few seconds to the passenger seat bottom, the airbag light illuminates (indicating passenger air bag is off). If I remove the light pressure, 2-3 seconds later the airbag light goes off (indicating that the passenger air bag is on). If it starts acting up, I will report back.

FYI - the passenger seat bottom cushion has a list price of $2,983.12
the airbag sensor cannot be purchased separately, so the whole seat bottom cushion assembly must be purchased.
