That looks awesome! How did you do it? Spray paint or what? Also how long have you had it like that and have you had any issues with it rubbing off? Thanks in advance.

I also absolutely love the blacked out interior in my 15, but personally I think keeping the door handles & headlight bezels silver makes sense for the exterior. I mean those handles are iconic imo (plus I really dig that look on the PW)

Good luck on the conversion tho! (I can't imagine having to do all that myself lol)

Have you seen KAD exterior handles yet? You might change your mind...bad pictures of mine HERE. Now every time I see the stock silver handles they look much worse to me, to each their own maybe.

I used paint on everything except the radio console for which I used Plasti (wanted a texture there). The most important thing is to prep the pieces properly, I always use an ultra fine sand paper then rub down thoroughly with rubbing alcohol. Also once I finish the last coat of paint I apply a very light coat or 2 of clear coat (not enough to make it shiny). As for taking the pieces apart, there is DIYs on here for that and the areas you cant find DIY for you just have to figure it out. The triple gauge cluster is the trickiest and the rear strut brace requires you to remove basically every interior panel from the console back :icon14:lol. If you knock it out 1 thing at a time its not bad, and as for wear/chiping no issues if prep and paint are done properly..

I assume you lose the ability to read the words on the steering wheel controls, correct?

Looks great! If you look at my mods album right now, which I need to update, you'll see that I have mine 3M vinyl wrapped flat black along with the front splitter and rear diffuser too. I plan to stick with flat black instead of the metallic black that you have just to cover my bases on matching in the future (addition of new pieces at a later time, or fading, peeling, cracking - basically any point where I might have to redo a piece). Only downside to the vinyl method is that you are kinda limited when it comes to the inside part that you would have to prop open if you were to spray them. What side blade is that in the first picture though, the OEM '14 Nismo?

Thanks for the details. Unfortunately I don't posses the time for this right now, ~50+ hours a week at work  Looks like I'll just have to get all of the smoked Nismo pieces and put them on my Christmas list  I'll update as I knock them out, one by one.

Yea, OEM Nismo piece.

Smoked looks good. I started going all cf inside and kind of ocd have to finish it. I don't mind the silver too much. Granted my car is silver so I may be biased. Everything already matches lol. Did go full black on the headlights tho. Never liked the chrome or the silver shrouds. Also got rid of the ugly reflector in the headlights. They make cute little pots for small plants

So everytime I try to upload a picture of my interior my browser poops itself. -___-

AntiVenom 08-09-2015 04:05 PM

anybody happen to have the part number for the steering wheel control cover, or the whole airbag if it has to be purchased that way? thanks!

edliaszenik 08-09-2015 11:52 PM

If anyone wants to see how I've done up my interior feel free to pm me. I've done a few pieces in 15 nismo and a few wrapped and painted. I'm not sure if it's cool for me to put up a link to my Instagram here so just pm me and I'll play it safe.

Loges 04-28-2016 07:34 AM

PM me a link to your Instagram page, I'd like to see how you did yours.

CanadianSteel 05-09-2016 05:05 PM

I also want to do this.
