Default New Racing Seat Issue

I have followed the DIY resistor thread to stop the air bag light flashing and get air bags back on.

But once I connect the weight detection circuit and 230 pound friend shuts off air bag off light but my 125 pound wife does not. I even put hard surfaces below and above detectors with her hold forty pounds of weights on her lap, light still stays on.

I have Status Ring GT-X seat.

So.....any ideas or could I do same resistor bypass to trick the system that the weight is sufficient, not sure if this would work though? Anyone with knowledge or experience with such a situation?

Saw a thread about flipping over the sensor pad being more effective, no such luck with my wife.

try positioning the sensor pad around on the seat so when your wife or someone else sits on it.. they sit on the entire sensor pad

It didn't take much for me to get my sensor working. I read that positioning it further back into the seat helps. That's what I did and it seems to work.

Finally got it working. Looking at the pad she sits on, the covering had the pad vectored in, we opened it up and put the sensor inside. Worked right away.

So maybe the sensor needs a soft surface under it for all little sensor point the be hit more evenly. Not sure, just really glad to have this fixed, was about the give up.

Thanks for everyone's ideas. I did try flipping the wife but that didn't work .
