The same thing happened to me except a car backed into mine (parking lot) and was considered a hit and run. I got a deal with the body shop that they'd reimburse me for a new front bumper (aftermarket), and insurance would cover all the labor. Maybe you could work out a cool deal too, good luck:tup: |

Did you think if he was slim the damage would not have been as bad :icon17:LoL. No seriously sorry to hear about this. I will tell you just like mentioned before to file suit, he is not covered on his mothers policy, in general it is to my understanding that he basically violated the law with the exception of New Hampshire unless things have changed. He did not get ticketed but should have if he was not on the insurance card or policy. He is also very lucky he did not injure you or anybody else for that matter. It would have changed from a civil offense to criminal and most likely would have been arrested. Make sure you get checked out by a physician because even though you may not see or feel any pain right now, it could later develop over time and the specific underlying cause could've been this accident. I would also try to get back with the police department to push the issue to get him fined/ticketed so you can have a stronger leg to stand if you or your inusrance company decides to file suit. These kind of things take time but will be worth it in the long run. IMHO I would not replace a Nismo bumper with anything but a OEM Nismo bumper, that is just my OCD. Really it depends on what you want and can afford. USAA usually cuts the body shop a check to repair the damage. I have been with USAA for 16 years and they are really good about taking care of their customers. The main thing is that you are ok and no one got hurt, although it sounds like pork chop could use a diet, and better upbringing/morals as well as driving skills.:ughdance:

I've been hit at least 4 times by someone with no license and no insurance. My rates have never been affected. Btw, Texas is a one party consent state, which means as long as you are part of the conversation, you are permitted to record it without anyone else's consent. I set my phone to video as soon as an accident occurs - I walk around a look like I'm taking photos, but it's also recording audio. Try and get them to admit fault and apologize while you're recording. I actually put someone without insurance on the phone with my insurance company and had them admit fault while we were still at the scene of the accident (what an idiot lol). |
Houston also
The police should NOT let these no insurance people off so easily. The police can get instant verification from their in car computer when they run the plate. Happened to me with the Tx Highway Patrol.

So let me this right, the car was insured, but the kid wasn't so they don't have to pay anything??? Use your insurance man, that what its for, I would never come out of pocket for anything and I pay my premiums on time every month especially if you were not at fault. I would sue the mom just for the hell of it, call me wrong if you like, but no way in hell am I paying my deductible and having my car damaged and her and her fat *** son gets off with nothing.
