Thats a custom design normal console will be with joystick hole only, we will offer customization as option.

We fixed all firmwire issues hopefully doing a video and photo shoot in next two days and release pricing and other details.

See under video for GB thread

CarbonSignal 09-07-2015 08:52 AM

Kit ONE:
Comes with 7' screen, HDMI cable, rotary joystick, control module, and optional extra sensor ports

Here are the details and purchase details in Gb thread

Console comes in three finishes and design is simple but without airlift module as in DEMO pics its just the joystick by default.

Console FRP
Console FRP painted matte black
Console CF
Console Wrapped in leather and alcantara additional

Everything working in the pics and video is only via OBDII, but for boosted guys following are optional sensors needed if any of these readings are needed, oil temp does come via OBDII and all other. There is a port for these already in the module so all what is needed is hooking up the sensors and two or three wires in the module

Below are additional sensors incase anyone needs these

Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) K-Type thermocouple probe sensor
Oil Temperature Sensor
Boost (MAP) Pressure Sensor
Intake Air Temperature Sensor
Intercooler Air Temperature Sensor
Fuel Temperature Sensor
Transmission Oil Temperature Sensor
Gearbox Oil Temperature Sensor
Exhaust Manifold Pressure Sensor
Fuel Pressure Sensor
Oil Pressure Sensor / Sender
AFR (Air Fuel Ratio) Wideband Controller Functionality

Kit TWO:

Its for people already with navi screen, kit comes with, rotary joystick, control module, and optional extra sensor ports in the module

OBDII reader with cable is needed for both kits

For Navi screen guys there is not need for screen and buyer will keep all existing functionalities of stock screen like navi, audio etc.

@C|S, here's an idea to clean up the cutout for the knob with a plastic grommet that fits nicely with the knob. Example below:

There is already a double layer groove for the knob, guess its ok for the time needed to make and price we charging as these grommet and bezels we need to import so not sure how feasible it will work out.

DIGItonium 09-10-2015 08:51 AM

No problem. Looking great!

I found a fix for the Audio issue the Navigation people were asking about. NavTool's new V2 Unit will allow you to highjack the Nav screen for 2 additional Inputs. Using the new Navtool Device along with the Converter from Carbonsignal you should in theory be able to listen to music sources while viewing your gauges. There is a button/switch included with the Navtool kit that will allow you to switch between sources and back to Nav. It is currently on sale for $200 for September.

So I have a question. Can you move elements from one screen to the next? The reason I ask is because for forced induction guys I can tell you that this is the combo we will want to see:

A/f bank 1 , a/f bank 2 , boost
Air intake temp, water temp, oil temp

From that screen alone I can monitor engine status, notice if there are any boost leaks and which side it's on, monitor my intake temps which correlate to power being put down, boost pressure , water temps especially for sleeved blocks and closed deck blocks, oil temps for when your running it hard.

The next screen:

Rpm , speed, throttle pos
timing, afr , boost

2011 Nismo#91 09-28-2015 02:50 PM

How easy is it to switch ODBII gauges.
Say I want:
Water Temp | Air Intake Temp | Fuel Pressure
A/F R Bank 1 | A/F R Bank 2 | Throttle Position
All on the first screen.

Also the ODBII does output Cat temps (close as we are going to get to EGT) for both cats. And it does have an intake pressure/vacuum reading too.

As stated in the GB first post, any sequence of gauges can be made as a custom order as per your specific need, but as it needs programming for firmware so there is extra charge(250$) from manufacturer.

What you can do is send us an email with whats needed in first second screen along with sensors needed we can make yours as per that.

What we are offering here is based on a what we felt will be useful, for instance FI guys will have opening and default screen with Boost, AFR, Oil and water temp along with Oil pressure, then scroll to second screen for other.

For Cat temps haven't looked into PIDs for that and maybe can add for later revision if possible

Please share pics of FRP matte black for base cars with cubby holder when you have time. Thanks!

chops 10-01-2015 09:39 PM

will you be making one for the non touring radio/bezel? the base radio/dash kit doesnt go "out" as in towards the inside of the car as much. therefore, it looks ugly when you use a base radio/dash kit with the navigation bezel

example, you can see that the bottom has a "chin" that extends over the radio

Gauge Display

1 Attachment(s)
I'm thinking screen 1 needs:

A/F-1 | A/F-2 | Boost
Oil_PSI | Fuel_PSI | EGT

Remove the clock from the triple-gauge stock setup on the dash, move the DC_Voltage gauge over one to where the clock was, put Coolant_Temp in the center (next to oil_temp)

The most important gauges have to be air/fuel mixture for each bank--that's what avoids a melt-down. Then boost--everyone wants to know boost.

Oil_Pressure is highly important for the turbo bearings, Fuel_Pressure to make sure the fuel pump is able to deliver enough fuel to the rails, and of course Exhaust_Gas_Temperature to avoid a melt-down.

Screen 2 can show other things usually set by laptop (for convenience) such as timing advance, torque, and other things NOT displayed by other gauges-RPM, speed, coolant temp-those are on the dash.

If there is an order can be done, as its not an issue.

I'm thinking that's what everyone needs...at least if they have boost (which would be the reason for buying it in most cases) and it should be the default setup.

Waiting to hear feedback from current owners on Kit-2. I have the Navigation system and want sleeper integration.

I believe it will fit what we have as we made as per the cubby hole lid which is same for both

Number of readings are same even if boosted or not, but people asking for FI sequence boost is there in first screen.

However custom sequence can be done but there will be some designing charges.
