So I got an interesting email today from Berk about the exhaust...delayed until December.

oh ya, I recieved the same email and a voicemail from Berk as well. I dunno what happened or why it was pushed back soooo far. I could understand a month delay but three months? Thats a quarter of a year. I am pulling for an earlier release but it appears I wont get to experience the roar of my unplugged VQ37VHR until spring 2010 when I get to take it back out of winter storage. dang...

What a bummer. Kind of irrelevant but when Berk didn't ship my HFC for a month, I personally had to call them. Turns out even though they withdrew my money, they didn't ship my product because the shipping and billing address didn't match. Hell they could've just ate my money if I forgot I ordered a HFC.

My HFC's got here pretty much the next day after I placed my order. I did receive a phone call from Berk saying that I could call them with any questions. I would call them but I doubt it will do any good, it won't get the exhaust here any faster. It does strike me odd that the delay is so long and that they waited till now to tell us this. Oh well, at least I have my HFC's I have had them for over a month now waiting for the exhaust to get here so I could do it all at one time but I suppose I will just put the HFC's on and run that set up for the time being. I will say this, the quality of the HFC's is great and makes me feel better about the wait for the exhaust.

how many gaskets do we get? 6 total? 2 for the muffler to mid section, 2 for the mid section to x-pipe, and 2 for the x-pipe to hfc?

So why is the group buy deal off the table if the exhaust isn't complete or shipping yet? I bet you'd get more sales if the group buy price was extended...

I am trying to talk them into letting me do another one when the exhausts are ready, but I am only trying at this point. No promises. :)

I haven't heard anything new. They were pushed back until December so I wouldn't expect any updates until next month at the earliest.

Yes if there ends up being another group buy, those who pre-ordered at regular pricing will get the group buy price. Sorry no dB readings :(. I don't have a dB meter.

Would Berk have one? Just curious on how loud it is... gotta worry about the cops in LA :mad:

I am not sure if Berk has a dB meter or not. I will ask them. The tuner industry is pretty much going to shut town next week for SEMA, but I will see the Berk guys there and ask them.

They said December and we just got into November so hate to break it to you buy its going to be another month.

No Mike when we ordered, we were told Mid to late September. Then It was bumpped to Dec.

At which point Berk personally contacted everyone to let them know about the delays. Delays happen, unfortunately they are out of Berk's control and I am not sure what more they can do at this point. I don't feel like it is just cause to publicly talk down on them and bring their reputation down for something that is beyond their control. I think they handled the unexpected delay perfectly. If you don't like the situation then cancel your order. It is a bummer that the exhausts are delayed, but you have the option to cancel and get a full refund. I don't see any reason to be upset. When you make statements like "this is another Forgestar situation" you drive customers away and that is not cool. Eveyone is stuggling in this economy and if you are driving customers away you are directly affecting peoples lives. Sorry to vent on you but after being on the other side of this industry as a business owner it pisses me off that people are so quick to talk trash without any real reason. So I ask everybody to please make sure you have a REALLY good reason before you go publicly talk trash on the forums about a company.

Mike Vent if you need to, I have tough skin. How ever I feel you mis understood what I was saying. As to my Forgestar post, It has nothing to do with Berk, or Forgestar really. Just another Loooooooooong wait. Like the three month wait I endored to get the F-14's.
Again a two week delievery time frame turned into three months plus. Just like the Berk Kat Back, and If I remember I was first drop you a depsoit for it as well. So if I wanted to cancel I would have done it.

It was just December, I am sure they are shooting for the earliest as possible, but until they start contacting the people who have ordered the exhaust we just wait. :)

Anyone talked to Berk recently? I would really like to know if any updates have been made to the release.
