Full Catback Y-Pipe Included.

It has only been tested for power on Bone stock JDM 370Z/Fairlady with OE ECU that has a limiter at 180Km. When it hit the limiter it was still making power and had achieved over 15whp.

Cant wait to see it on a US spec Vehicle with no limiter and post up numbers!

Be the first to get this exhaust on your Z!

Excuse my ignorance, but what is the B pipe? I thought this was a cat back exhaust per the quoted post.

Skorch 05-13-2009 03:02 PM

This is not a catback. It's a Y-pipe back exhaust.

Diversion 05-13-2009 03:53 PM

Crap, instant deal breaker, not catback = not interested. Also explains why it retains a nice sound.

Axlebacks (or however far this goes) are for looks and sound in my book.

Are you guys both talking about the same thing? In those pics, it looks to me like a bone stock Y-pipe, with the replacement starting behind the stock Y-pipe, at the crossmember. You can see all the factory heat-shielding, etc on the stock Y-pipe.

This is the image I'm talking about:

I agree with wstar, it appears the from photo above it retains the OEM y-pipe.

Diversion 05-14-2009 12:25 AM

Yeah, there seems to be a discrepancy.. You say catback, but we're all seeing everything replaced but it looks like the OEM y-pipe is there... Can we get pictures of the system upclose including the Y-pipe that connects to the cats?

Skorch 05-14-2009 02:57 AM

I called 5ZIGEN yesterday and they told me that it does NOT come with its own Y-pipe, therefore uses the stock one. It's not a catback exhaust - it's a Y-pipe back exhaust.

CBRich 05-14-2009 07:30 AM

Does this mean we have to add YPBE to the acronym thread now?

wstar 05-14-2009 07:52 AM

Well, I don't mean to rain on their parade, but the primary problem areas in the stock exhaust are the cats and the Y-pipe. The stock Y-pipe is ridiculously restrictive for this engine. Not that I'm an exhaust engineer or anything, but it sure seems obvious having looked at mine up close after it came out of the car.

INTENSEPOWER 05-14-2009 04:50 PM

Sorry bout that ya'll the rep over at gozigen Japan stated it came with Ypipe. I will retract my statement.

Diversion 05-14-2009 05:11 PM

5Zigen does make a Y-pipe for the 350.. I'd assume they will have one for the 370 as well soon enough.

FuszNissan 05-14-2009 06:30 PM

Will this hinder preformance???

INTENSEPOWER 05-14-2009 06:53 PM

OK, We contacted 5Zigen and they are working with us as it was their unfortunate mistake and stating that the Y-Pipe is included standard with the exhaust.

The customers that have already ordered their exhaust can rest assured that Y-Pipes will be sent out no additional cost to them with their orders.

We here at Intense Strive to provide THE BEST Customer Service in the industry and we back out customers 110%.

Website has been updated and yes the Y-Pipes are available for sale separately.
